My own take on the cover illustration and design for J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
While doing the research, I realized that most of the cover art, for both the movie and the book, usually use the iconic Patronus, the Dementors, the Night Bus and even Harry's aunt floating; but not this particular scene.
I found that surprising since, in my opinion, this is the scene the whole book was leading to, and the catalyst for every other story beat of the whole series.
Because of that, I wanted to illustrate the cover around this particular moment and the surrounding events.
The inspirations were taken from the Art Deco Movement and the magical color palette that's associated with Harry Potter.
